Tutto iniziò da qui...

...era l'ottobre del 2009 quando un gruppo di studenti della facoltà di Informatica di Catania ed un numero più ristretto di artisti dell'accademia decisero di girare un film in Computer Grafica. 
Ma serviva un'idea. Allora ci siamo messi, bravi bravi e buoni buoni a scrivere, scrivere e scrivere... partorendo così la prima opera magna. Ma l'eccessiva ambiziosità del progetto aveva fatto perdere le misure di ciò che stavamo facendo. 
Era la nostra prima fatica, quindi forse era meglio trovare una sceneggiatura più adatta e proporzionata a ciò che potevamo fare nel poco tempo a nostra disposizione. 
Nasce così "Froggy is Back". 
Stabilire un workflow, definire i ruoli, ed il budget di produzione. 
Ladies and gentlemen, che il primo progetto del gruppo Reibe abbia inizio.

Nel corso delle settimane, qui verranno pubblicate immagini, curiosità, preview e screen del cortometraggio più bello della storia dell'animazione. (Sic!)


Fall 2009. A group of students of Computer Science from Catania University and a group of students of Arts from Accademia Belle Arti Catania joined together and started dreaming about making a 3d Computer Graphics movie.
Giovanni Gallo, one of their teacher was instrumental to ignite the process and provided early support and encouragment.
First weeks were devoted to find a story, an idea to produce. Long brainstromings, pizza and spaghetti and beer, thousands of scraps of paper. Like veteran Hollywood screen-writer we debated end-lessy about possbile characters, their appearance, their personality etc.
Enthusiasm is seldom a good adviser.
A long-long script was created and... Giovanni Gallo, who assumed the role of a producer with a tight budget for the group, rejected it.
We were quickly convinced that with our only resources and with our little experience our target should have been smaller and shorter.
We all agreed but on one thing we all decided not to compromise: it will be a "professional quality work".
With a renewed, but more sober and humble, enthusiasm we restarted and created together a new short beautiful story about a frog, love and music.
